Battlefront Panthers for Battlegroup

I'm still digging through the plastic pile of German 15mm kits.  This is a new platoon of Panthers to replace the two I sold off a little while ago.

Some good ole' fashion flak-attack.

Continuing to chop down my box full of 15mm kits (why do I buy starter armies from Flames of War?).  An Ostwind and Wirbelwind.

Replacing some older Panzer IV's.

I recently sold off my original Panzer IV H platoon - because I'd painted them poorly with colours that really annoyed me.

I picked up some more Panzer IV H's in a Flames of War army starter box - so these are the "new" versions now that I've figured out my German paint schemes.

Leftover Tamiya Barrels can mean only one thing!

I whipped up one more 'barge' for my 'port' while I had all the bits out.  I used up the rest of my Tamiya barrels (used as the floats), and a bunch more plasticard and coffee stirrers.

This one came out slightly larger than the other one, but they are distinctive enough while looking like they exist in the same world.

Forgotten Angels

I painted up these five Blood Angel terminators the other week - but forgot to take pictures or post them.  I'm not overly pleased with them - the sculpts are okay, but the prints were...mediocre.  A decent Etsy purchase though at half the cost of normal GW product.

These are an interpretation of the classic 'Saturnine' terminator from Rogue Trader days.  I wanted something different for 2nd edition, so these'll work.

Scrapheap river barge - not in 15mm?

Despite blasting out a bunch of 15mm kits the past few days I decided to pull a 90-degree turn back into Scrapheap...with more terrain.  One of the locations requires a river barge which docks during the game (with loot on board).  For over a year I've put off building a river barge.

 

I changed that yesterday/today.

Some Nasty Naughty Nashorns.

 Continuing my 15mm flow-state, I whipped up these two Flames of War (Battlefront) Nashorns.  They're a nice dual kit which can also make the Hummel, but I'm not big on using on-table artillery in games like Battlegroup so I avoid it where possible.

PSC Steyr Heavy Cars (and they suck)

I'm a huge fan of the Steyr Heavy Car from WW2.  Turns out PSC makes some and I can use them (or proxy them as trucks) in Battlegroup.  I picked up a set a while ago and finally got around to putting some together.

They're terrible to build.  This is rare from a PSC kit.  You need to cut several pieces to even make them fit together and when they do it's a paint to hold them in place so the glue binds, etc.  Fortunately I'm only doing three (the other two are being sold off).  I almost threw the first one in the trash.

Because I was holding a grudge against these small plastic cars, I rushed the paintjob, but they turned out serviceable.  These will help make up for my lack of Opel Blitzes/trucks, etc. for my German force.

Battlefront Sdkfz 251 Half Tracks

In the process of cranking out small projects to clear my sudden plastic mountain (something I'm not accustomed to having...).  While I don't have any panzer grenadiers to go with them, I did pick up these four halftracks in a Flames of War starter box, so I assembled them for use.
