Games!: Dungeon Crawl after revisions...death in the dungeon!

Got some more play-testing in...and our party was suitably wrecked.  I don't think we played our best but luck was also definitely not with us this time!

Just cleaning up some Zombies...(we screwed the pooch here and ended up having to kill about thirty of them!)
Toward the end, we didn't have enough money to bribe the Troll so we decided to run past it - the next chamber (which had an exit)...we were caught by Spiders and a Stone Golem and just called it quits...our entire party massacred.
Our first game, we ended up getting severely whupped by simple Cultists...our dice rolling was terrible!
The Barbarian, 'Gwar' just charges the second he sees a line of verminkind.
In our first game, suffering losses we ended up fleeing from Orcs who kicked our teeth in pretty well.
Fighting a pack of rather well behaved ghouls (they didn't kill themselves this time!)
A quick dungeon set up for the playtesting.
The rest of the party catches up to 'Gwar' and we engage in a slugfest with the verminkind.

Surely we'll do better this time, right?

Games!: Shoot N' Skedaddle - a bad day for lawbreakers.

A game of SnS with my usual RPG group.  It went...poorly for the Outlaws (myself and a buddy)

Outlaws trying to skirt around the town toward the Sheriff's office...
The fisticuffs occurring in the train station get even more heated as the Prize Fighter runs into the action.
The Outlaws are charging toward the Sheriff's office...with limited time to free their prostitute friend.
A Soldier and an elderly Judge are waiting for the incoming trouble...
The blood must flow...and so it does.
The Deadly Pistolero, leader of the Outlaws finds himself alone, but guns down several Lawmen who try to corner him.
Both the Older and Younger Brother within the Outlaw gang find themselves wounded by Lawmen gunfire.
A Bodyguard from the Lawmen Posse is beating people to death in the foyer of the train station...
Even at an early stage, the Outlaws are doing...poorly.

A Lawmen Cowboy single-handedly blunts the Outlaw's move on his side of town.  Blazing away with a lever action gun from a window he wounds several of them.
Outlaws get surrounded by Lawmen reinforcements.  The local town turns hostile, banning them from one of the buildings.

The Lawmen never needed to actually prevent the prostitute from being rescued - they never made it near the Sheriff's office.
A soldier puts down the Mountain Man at distance...

Slaughter at Kryzeh

Had a game of Battlegroup over the weekend with a buddy.  500 points of Kursk Germans vs. my Soviets.

It did not end well for the Soviets, sadly.

Early in the game my Soviets are rushing to get out of a bottle neck as the German Tiger Ace is rolling forward.

The German armour moves up, safe with the knowledge that the Tiger Ace is covering the Soviet position.
My 82mm mortars were hugely inconsistent and I got very little proper use out of them despite firing them most turns.
The Germans seize an objective early game and hold it all game.
The BA-10 and T-34 which captured my first objective are shot to pieces as the Tiger Ace arrives on the table.
My token draws included...five(!) 4's in a row to start the game, followed by an air strike which didn't actually show up.
The Soviet formation is shot to pieces and struggles to accomplish much at all.
The Tiger Ace rolls forward (Fun fact: this is a miniature that I built for my buddy - oh the sorrow!)
Another dead T-34...
A pair of Zis-3's tries to counter German armour, but range and fences keep them from properly killing much.

Command, flames, and fixes...

For my last three T-34s that I had on hand, I decided to use them to do some alternate vehicles.  I produced one OT-34 flamethrower tank (signified by having a fifth barrel on the back...just for table recognition), a T-34 ARV (armour recovery vehicle), and a Forward HQ character in a T-34/43.

The last three T-34's I'll be doing for a bit.  I have conversion bits to make some T-34/85's...but I may also just get a separate box so I have a proper wave of T-34's at some point.  The spare turret is to replace the Forward HQ when he's not being used.

Commanders always wave or point.  It is the rule.
There is no official ARV pattern for the T-34...so I simply bashed together a bunch of junk, similar to what I've seen in photos.  I really wish I had some spare road wheels or drive sprockets but my "spare junk" pile for WW2 tanks is very minimal right now.

T-34s and...not using them in a Battlegroup game.

I painted three more T-34s for my Soviets last night.  I am aware the placement of numbers is not correct, but I'm not chasing that historical accuracy just yet.

My favourite version of the T-34, the '43 model with fuel boxes!

I also played a game of 500 points for Kursk today - and stole a lucky victory.  Almost everything went my way for a large portion of the game.

The German flanking force arrives...bringing with it a Ferdinand tank destroyer.
A Soviet Airacobra hunts down a truck before being driven off by MG fire.
The IL-2 braves continued MG fire to hunt down more targets - strafing a second truck.
The Ferdinand advances...finding no armoured quarry to engage.
A lone KV-1E appears!  It snipes a PzIII with a lucky shot and then is holed through by the Ferdinand from across the table.
German PzIIIs speed past the AT bunker and engage infantry and the 82mm mortar pit.
Tokens go all my way as the game starts...
The IL-2 strafes a 105 emplacement until it is withdrawn.
German infantry bail into a wooded copse only to find it filled with mortar, machine gun and rifle fire.
Early game, German halftracks advance trying to flank some defenses.
At the start of the game the center of the Soviet strong point is an AT bunker, an MG in a house, and a 82mm mortar pit (another pit with an MG is just off screen)
The Soviet side of the table, early game.
Two 120mm mortar teams who did very little during the game.
German PzIIIs ready to try to speed past a pinned AT bunker.
The IL-2 appears and fires rockets, killing a German halftrack.
A poor shot of the table, early game.
