Anselmo Brivoli faces the Undead

In my first non-narrative/campaign game in a while, Brivoli's Great Company faced off against my buddy's Undead.

 

While it started out well, a couple crucial turns and failed rolls led to a disorganized charge and subsequently being drawn into too much close quarter fighting, negating my shooting units.  It ended with the Great Company routing off the table.

 

 

A quite silly cannon.

I picked up this alternate cannon on Etsy from a sculptor that I don't really like as much as the normal guy (Fabelzel).  However, I was too lazy to eBay it off, so I painted it and some extra crew.  This will run as a larger siege artillery piece in FSF.

 

Included a picture with the classic Earthshaker for scale.

 

 

More Araby mercenaries.

Added a smaller company of Araby missile infantry - but ones with additional weapons and armour (this can be added with traits in FSF).  I will probably do one more similar unit before finishing my mercenary infantry.

Prisoners and flamethrowers!

I whipped up this unit of prisoners for use as both a unit (with a special 'sacrificial' trait), and to serve for scenario purposes.  I also painted up the flame-thrower team which I got as a freebie from the guy who prints my minis.

 

 

Games!: Game #4 of our FSF campaign...Chaos Dwarfs vs. Dwarfs!

We wrapped up our first "chapter" in our narrative test campaign between my Chaos Dwarfs and my buddy's Dwarfs.

 

Quick catch up:

 

Game 01: Hobgoblin advance party attacks a Dwarf trade caravan heading toward Barak Varr - losing the game, but capturing a Dwarf captain and his son.

 

Game 02: Hobgoblins clash with the Dwarf search party.  The Hobgoblin force manages to drive back the Dwarfs and their mercenary allies.

 

Game 03: Dwarf rangers and huntsmen locate the Hobgoblins in an abandoned mansion in the forest - attacking at night, they attempt to save the Dwarf captain and son..but fail and the Hobgoblins escape with the prisoners.

 

Game 04: The Chaos Dwarfs finally arrive, and set up a ritual execution of the Dwarf captain and his son. The Dwarfs and some mercenary cavalry attempt to stop the ritual but fail...both are executed by Chaos Dwarf sorcerers.

On a random impulse I cleaned up, primed and painted this unit today.  A 3D print kit-bash from a couple of sources.

 

 

The eyes and ears of Brivoli's Great Company

 I whipped up the other five of the Empire Pistolier cavalry from the box I had picked up.  This unit, alongside the more proper pistoliers will be the scouting/skirmishing element of Brivoli's Great Company.
