Games!: Famine, Sword, & Fire

My buddy had the day off today so we managed to try out two scenarios for FSF.  In the first scenario, Bretonnians had to escort messengers off the table, fighting through Hobgoblins and Chaos Dwarfs (they succeeded).

 

In the second game, Mercenary Tileans had to escort peasants off the table through a narrow gap, defended by his newly painted Dark Elves.  In this game, the Dark Elves were about to win the game when I managed to break all the units on the table, sneaking a victory.

 

 Sadly, as usual...I was too busy gaming to take pictures, and missed tons of cool opportunities!

Some FSF for the road... (Lizardmen vs. Mercenaries)

 A few times a year I get to meet some of my friends from a city which is about three hours away - but we meet at a large game story precisely 1.5 hours from each of us (allowing us to make a simple day trip of it).  I ran a game of FSF for two friends.  One was running his Lizardmen force, and the other ran my mercenaries in a lengthy "Burn the Bridge" scenario.

We actually called it a narrow tie late in the game as it went longer than any FSF game before because the game went back and forth maybe six or seven times.  Every turn was "oh now they're screwed...", nope.

 

Really close run thing.

 

"This weekend only, FSF mega-mega-MEGA game!"

 This weekend we played the largest single game of FSF we've played so far, 1200:1000 points.  We ran a "Hold the Pass" scenario consisting of humans (Bretonnians and mercenaries) attempting to stop a wave of Orcs & Goblins...it didn't work.

 

The Orcs & Goblins won on turn 12/16, sadly.
