Bretonnians vs. the Undead in Famine, Sword, & Fire

Today saw the...sixth(?) or sevent(?) narrative game in a campaign running between my two buddies.  The short version: Bretonnian Lady Azorius was meeting with an Elf envoy who possessed a crystal ball which was showing a future battle...while examining it and trying to make heads or tails of the vision, the undead detected it...and set out to stop her.

Protected only by a small bodyguard, Azorius was quickly cut off by a huge undead army, and despite a valiant charge of knights and their squires...Azorius was forced to run into the wilderness and escape (even after having a mage duel with an enemy necromancer!).

Games!: Game #4 of our FSF campaign...Chaos Dwarfs vs. Dwarfs!

We wrapped up our first "chapter" in our narrative test campaign between my Chaos Dwarfs and my buddy's Dwarfs.

Quick catch up:

Game 01: Hobgoblin advance party attacks a Dwarf trade caravan heading toward Barak Varr - losing the game, but capturing a Dwarf captain and his son.

Game 02: Hobgoblins clash with the Dwarf search party.  The Hobgoblin force manages to drive back the Dwarfs and their mercenary allies.

Game 03: Dwarf rangers and huntsmen locate the Hobgoblins in an abandoned mansion in the forest - attacking at night, they attempt to save the Dwarf captain and son..but fail and the Hobgoblins escape with the prisoners.

Game 04: The Chaos Dwarfs finally arrive, and set up a ritual execution of the Dwarf captain and his son. The Dwarfs and some mercenary cavalry attempt to stop the ritual but fail...both are executed by Chaos Dwarf sorcerers.

Siege of Augusta, FSF and more FSF!

This year I almost didn't attend Siege of Augusta (a wargaming convention in...shock...Augusta, Georgia). I decided to attend last minute, so I didn't schedule a table, etc.

I showed up and was able to set up my dungeon crawl in the hall outside which turned out to be great (less noise, smell and heat!).  I only ran three games before calling it a night.

The next day I decided not to run demos of Famine, Sword, & Fire..as it really is a bit too much for a convention game.  Instead I played a few games with my friends and had a good time (also managing to sneak into a side room - even lesssss noise, etc.!).  Thanks to the guys running the ADLG tournament!

I only took a few pictures, but snagged some from my friends.

And then some games of FSF...

Following this, my buddies did a game of FSF the following day when I returned home. A game in which my buddy's rapidly expanding Bretonnian army demolished an Orc raiding party along the Black Peninsula.

Also including some army pictures we took of his Bretonnian force.
