Games!: Famine, Sword, & Fire (a misery in two parts...)

 Well the Chaos Dwarfs lost their first two games of FSF.  I forgot to snap pictures yesterday...but managed to catalogue my defeat today.

Games!: Revised Battlegroup

 Our local group has fallen out of love with Battlegroup lately, but I've been adding a bunch of house rules/tweaks to bring the game a bit more interest and we played for the first time in a while this past weekend.  I forgot to take pics, but a buddy snapped a few!

A secret project is spoiled!

Well, in secret over the past five months I've been assembling and painting a new army for Famine, Sword, & Fire.  Today the target of the secret project, my buddy, was digging around in my boxes while I was gaming with another friend...when I hear "Hey, what is this?".

Fortunately the secret scheme was due to be revealed within a few weeks, so it's not a great loss.

So, with great relish I reveal my most time-intensive project thus far - Chaos Dwarfs.  All resin 3D prints, painted to my highest hobby standard (which ain't that high!).  There is a LOT more to come for this force of ancient fantasy Persians!

Got in a game of FSF with a new opponent who is in the process of building a generic "evil" army.  I lost, of course.

 

 

Wargames Atlantic: Landsknecht Ogre Mercenaries!

 While I've been working on a lot of terrain and game design, I've decided to start slowly assembling a handful of mercenary units - mainly because our local game group is very light on "good guys".  While I'm not anxious to start a whole new army, building some cool mercenary units which can be farmed out (like...mercenaries!) to the good guys that my friends are building/painting is..palatable.

This box of Landsknecht Ogres from Wargames Atlantic is perfect because it provides me a unit of eight heavy infantry with a spare hero - all for just a tad over $30.  Solid.
