A brave BA-10 scout car steals an objective from the Germans early in the game. It is shot and immobilized (the crew bailed out) the next turn.
Early game the Soviet T-34s make a run for a distant objective.
The calm before the storm...looking down on the main crossroads.
A Soviet platoon creeps up under the cover of trees - while being shelled with heavy mortar fire.
The platoon will suffer grievous casualties.
On the left flank the T-34s attempt to rout the Germans from the smaller junction.
The creaking behemoth, a Soviet KV-2 moves into position to shell enemy positions.
Soviet infantry are gunned down and a T-34 takes a panzerfaust round - erupting immediately.
Two Su-85s engage German armour at distance with little effect.
The howitzer of the KV-2 opens fire, pinning a StuG and some German infantry.
The Jagdpanther creeps up, engaging Soviet Su-85s in the tree line.
The Su-85s burn through their ammunition in short order and withdraw to resupply.
Late in the game, hoping to break the Soviet force the Jagdpanther advances up the main street.
The Jagdpanther misses as the KV-2 advances.
The KV-2 shell blows the tracks off the Jagdpanther, immobilizing it. The Jagdpanther responds by passing a Beyond the Call of Duty test and killing the KV with its last round of ammunition.
The KV-2 erupts instantly. Moments later the Jagdpanther, immobilized and out of ammunition is slain by a reloaded Su-85.
The survivors of the conflict, the victorious Soviets. Some of these units will be holding the town vs. a German counterattack later this week.
