State of the Legion, 2018.

As 2018 creeps toward its sunset...I snapped a picture of the current Wandering Sons Renegade Space Marine Chapter (and their less-than-savory accompaniment of daemons).

What is love? (2nd Wandering Sons dreadnought!)

Ordered some dreadnought bits a couple days ago on eBay.  Received the bits yesterday...bashed up some extra doo-dads and finished this guy by noon today.  Not bad for a 24 hour turnaround.  Presenting...Arakos, dreadnought of the Wandering Sons (read: Renegade Helbrute).

And alongside Syvotus, my first dreadnought.

How sexy are fences!?

Said no one.  Ever.

However, this is a quick and fruitful project thus far.  I used 3mm sintra, some hex plastruct rod, and window screen material.  Six sections.

A few minor additions..

Been in a serious hobby slump lately.  I managed to overcome it for a moment or two and do up my final Phoenix Lord, Baharroth.  Not stoked with the result, but I won't be repainting him.  I did up a Warp Spider Exarch (a figure I've avoided for some time), and did up a bonus autocannon arm for the Leviathan dreadnoughts.

Games, and missiles? Seems legit.

A large game of 40K yesterday where I was thoroughly trounced alongside my Dark Angels teammate.

And while these fellas may have snuck in some other photos, I never snapped quality pictures of the newest Scorpius launchers I built for the Rhino-Russ chassis.  I still have the larger box-style launcher if needed, but think these better represent the look of the Scorpius (without the scallop shield portion).

Games, and games, and games!

I haven't posted in a while, but I have managed to sneak in a few games, so here is a picture dump.

Game 1: Shoot N' Skedaddle

A fun three-way game with a couple of buddies.  Violent and silly as usual.

Game 2: Tokenhammer at 1250 points (Steel Legion vs. Wandering Sons)

A quick warm-up game of 40K, using tokens as usual.  Fun and violent though not very balanced toward the end.

Game 3: 3,000 points 2v2 Tokenhammer (Imperial Guard vs. Chaos Space Marines)

A large game around a scenario which we got wrong...but it provided enough madness for some fun dice rolling.
