Mordheim table preview...

I'll be doing a full blog post on all of the elements, but here is the result of a full week spent working on new Mordheim terrain.  The goal here was 100% playability and fun with zero attention paid to genuine architecture.

On the Gaming Periphery (Mordheim hacks!)

One of the things I've learned to appreciate as I've aged and gamed over the years is the peripheral items attached to a gaming session.

These are often unnecessary but attractive or thematic elements which can add a little "fizz" to your normal gaming experience.  Some people don't care at all, others might find it an attractive side project.

Examples?  Colour matched dice for your army of choice or game of choice (who doesn't want an excuse to buy more dice!).  How about some new or custom templates for your favourite games.  I have a love of doing up simple cheat sheets which can be laminated to ease gameplay for games I frequently play.

My buddy has recently expressed interest in starting up Mordheim again so I've been working on printing/collecting/gathering the necessary stuff I'll need.  These have included some weapon cheat sheets which I've decided to toss on here for anyone looking for Mordheim goodies.

These look great printed in colour and laminated.  I've even ordered some fake parchment-esque paper off Amazon to print out my roster sheets on (the roster sheet above is intended to be a little more ink-friendly for printers).

Games: 40K 2nd Edition

I've been silent for a while here because I've actually been working on a lot of peripheral stuff for gaming - and I've been working on a huge terrain project which will show up here shortly!

I did sneak in three games of 2nd edition Warhammer 40K (we're working on a revised version) a couple weekends ago.  Two games against Tyranids and one against Chaos Space Marines (lost all three!).  It was fun and we hammered through most of the rules revisions we wanted to try.
