2018 off to a slow start...Chaos Warpsmith.

We're 23 days into the new year, and I've now painted...one miniature.  And part of the miniature was actually painted in 2017.  Been struggling with motivation lately, and I've spent a lot of time actually working on terrain (I'll do a terrain post at some point).

It helps that my main 40K armies are actually quite full and are within distance of being "done".  I have a lot of miniatures sitting around which I haven't painted - something I've avoided for a couple of years and was quite proud of.

Here's another Chaos Warpsmith, made from the ever-fantastic old metal Iron Priest model for the Space Wolves.  I removed a little bit of the iconography but there are still some obvious nods.

  1. Very nice colouring on this guy. I really like this fig, the helmet shape speaks to an older period....very appropriate for traitor legions. I too am having a slow pace to start off the year and, curiously, have been working on a bunch of terrain. The hobby stars are in strange alignment.

    1. Thanks! I do genuinely love this figure. I would have preferred a slightly better paintjob, but I'm not going to go back and re-do it!
